Prahlad, with complete faith in Vishnu, responded, “Yes, Father, Vishnu is everywhere — in this pillar, in the air, in the earth, and in all living beings. He is omnipresent.”
In a fit of rage, Hiranyakashipu struck a pillar in his palace, demanding that Vishnu show himself if he truly existed. It was at this moment that Lord Vishnu appeared in his Narsimha Avatar.
